
Sadeq is a psychotherapist (Registered in BC, Canada) and relationship researcher.
He has been providing counseling and psychotherapy services for more than 10 years. Over the years, he has worked with adolescents, adults, and couples, and his current clinical work is focused mainly on individual adult psychotherapy and couples therapy. His work is especially concerned with recurring emotional and relational patterns, anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-worth, and difficulties in close relationships.
Alongside his clinical work, he has been studying close and romantic relationships since 2016. His research has focused on topics such as romantic love, the meaning of love, predictors of relationship stability, and the effects of conflict and relationship difficulties on intimate life. He received his PhD in Psychology from Tarbiat Modares University, where his doctoral dissertation examined how romantic love is understood among Iranian women and men. He later spent two years as a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Calgary under the supervision of Dr. Susan Boon, where his research focused on forgiveness, unforgiveness, and revenge in close relationships.
He is currently a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #25480) in British Columbia and offers online psychotherapy in Farsi and English.
